KEVIN McGUIRE
CO-PASTOR
Kevin married the love of his life, Valerie, in 1982. They deeply enjoy spending time with their three boys Drew, Zack, and Luke, and two daughters-in-law, Samantha and Jessica. Their family has been a part of Christ Community Church for 25 years.
Kevin and Valerie delight in spending time with family and have taken pleasure in watching their boys play sports through their high school and college days. They thoroughly appreciate the holidays as they get to spend time with both close and extended family. Kevin enjoys a wide range of athletics and routinely watches local sports teams including the Tigers, Lions, Pistons, and Red Wings.
Kevin’s passions are Jesus, the gospel, and planting churches around the globe. He adores the growth within the community and the church and is blessed that he has the opportunity to indulge in fellowship with this body of Christ-lovers.
DR. Al LOGINOW
CO-PASTOR
Al was 10 years old when his family joined Christ Community Church in January 1999. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Biblical and Theological Studies from Boyce College (2011), and served as a pastoral intern at CCC the summer between his freshman and sophomore year. After college he graduated with his Master of Divinity (M.Div.) in Christian Ministry from Southern Seminary (2015). Al received his Doctor of Ministry (D.Min.) in Expository Preaching from Southern (2018). His dissertation, written under the supervision of Dr. Brian Payne, is entitled, Greater Than The Former: A Christocentric Approach To Haggai In Light Of Recent Christocentric Homiletics.
Pastor Al has been in full-time pastoral ministry since 2009. He served 2 churches in Kentucky before he was called as a pastor of Christ Community Church in 2013.
Al has been married to his brilliant and beautiful wife, Bethany, since May 2009. They both met and were married at Christ Community. They have six kids: Alex Jr., Jack, Haddon, Sophia, Anastasia, and Evangeline.
DR. BRETT ECKEL
PASTOR OF MEMBER CARE
Brett has been attending Christ Community Church since 1999. He was baptized here and has since served in different teaching roles and as a deacon.
He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy (B.A.) while Minoring in History at Oakland University (2016) and a Master of Divinity (M.Div.) in Christian Ministry from Southern Seminary (2019). Brett received his Doctor of Ministry (D.Min.) in Apologetics from Southern (2024). His dissertation, written under the supervision of Dr. Jonathan T. Pennington, is entitled, Death Will Die: Finding Eternal Life From A Johannine Ars Moriendi. Brett also serves as a Board Certified Chaplain (BCC) in Troy, MI. As a chaplain Brett has served populations predominantly in Emergency Center, trauma, and behavioral health, and addiction.
Pastor Brett is a fan of the Detroit Lions and enjoys watching the Detroit Pistons and Michigan Football. He has been married to his lovely wife Gina since June 2014. Brett and Gina both grew up and currently reside in Sterling Heights where they have made this community their home. They have three children: Calvin, Ezekiel, and Elise.
MICHAEL CHAMPOUX
Elder
Mike has been attending Christ Community Church for the entirety of his life. His parents joined in 1979 and have been faithful members since. Mike has served as the youth pastor at CCC since 2011, was on the deacon board for several years, and was ordained as an elder in 2019.
Mike married his beloved wife Holly in 2015. Together, they have 2 children, Gabriel and Juliette.
Outside of serving the church, Mike enjoys all things horticulture and landscaping, including taking care of the church property and putting in seasonal floral displays. He also loves hockey and yearly trips to Traverse city with his wife.
ANDREW LOGINOW
ELDER
Andrew has been attending Christ Community Church since 1999, where he was baptized. He has served teaching children through adults as well as in the nursery. He was a deacon, and has played various instruments for Sunday morning worship.
Pastor Andrew served briefly as Pastor of Families in Kentucky.
He graduated cum laude from Oakland University with a Bachelor of Arts in English in 2016.
He met and wed his beautiful and amazing wife Christina at Christ Community Church and their fairy tale life began when they were married in 2017. They have four daughters: Clara, Eleanor, Violet, and Margaret.
ZACK McGUIRE
ELDER
Zack is a lifelong member of Christ Community Church. He served as a deacon and held several teaching roles.
Zack graduated from Michigan State University in 2018, earning a Bachelor of Science in Packaging Engineering, and played MSU baseball for four years. He served as President of Michigan State’s christian student-athlete group, Athletes in Action.
He married his lovely wife, Jessica, in 2018 and now have two sons, Theo and Noah. Jess grew up in Shelby Township and also graduated from Michigan State University. They reside in Troy.
Zack is an avid fan of MSU and Detroit sports teams. He likes to golf and along with Jess, enjoys health and fitness.
BOBBY OWENS
ELDER
Bob joined Christ Community Church at the age of six. In 1995, Bob married his high school sweetheart, Cia. They are thankful to have three sons, Austin, Christian, and Dylan. Bob and Cia love spending time with family and enjoyed watching their older two sons play sports throughout high school and college. Dylan is still up and coming. Bob also loves spending time hunting and fishing in God’s great outdoors with family and friends.
Bob has served in many teaching roles, including children’s ministry, Junior and Senior High, College, and adult classes. Bob was ordained as an Elder in 2011 and is thankful for the opportunity to serve with other godly men.
SHANE SLUKA
ELDER
Shane married his wonderful wife Dawn in 2012, and they have four children: Annabelle, Daniel, Calvin, and Isaiah.
Shane and Dawn did not grow up in a Christian household, yet the Lord externally and internally called both of them in 2010, radically changing everything in there lives and relationship. After Shane served in the ARMY for six years, he attended college and graduated with a Bachelor of Science from Oakland University, then his Masters of Physician Assistant Studies in 2017 at Wayne State University. For the last nine years, Shane has worked as a PA in Cardiac Surgery.
He is now attending Reformed Theological Seminary Orlando for his MDiv and has been called by the Lord to Shepherd the people of Christ Community Church. Soli Deo Gloria.
ANDREW VADNAIS
MUSIC LEADER
Andrew has been a member of Christ Community Church since 2003. He married Stephanie in 2015, and they have two children, Everly and Andrew Jr.
Andrew is a deacon & has led music at Christ Community Church since 2014.
