WHO WE ARE NOT

We aren't big or flashy.

We don't have an orchestra or a rock band, and our pastors don't use sermon props.

We don't have hundreds of kids in our youth group. We don't host large summer camps for kids.

We don't offer unlimited programs, and we have nothing to sell.

Everybody knows everybody here.

We aren't legalistic.

We don't believe the Bible is a list of rules, and we don't think we can teach you 5 steps to a better marriage.

We really don't think not drinking or not dancing or not smoking or not swearing or not going to the movies will make you a better follower of Jesus.

We know Jesus won't love us any more or any less because we check off tasks on a "spiritual checklist."

We refuse to be Pharisees and hypocrites.

We are all sinners, and treat each other with the same grace Jesus shows us.

We aren't lawless.

We don't commit sin on purpose or live a life of rebellion just because God is a gracious God.

We don't take advantage of others.

We refuse to live a life of excess.

We refuse to be prostitutes and tax collectors.

We strive to obey and serve Jesus with honor, because He first loved us.

WHO WE ARE

First and foremost, we are followers of Jesus.

We believe Jesus was a real man who was born of a virgin, who lived a perfect life without sin, and who died on a cross in our place - because of OUR sin.

We believe Jesus resurrected and rose from the dead in His physical body three days later, symbolizing New Creation that has both "already" and "not quite" happened yet.

We believe He ascended to the right hand of the Father, and remains there still today, until an unknown day in the future when He will return to earth to raise the dead, judge all men, and make all things new.

We are faithful to the gospel.

We seek to live out the life and work of Jesus through community and mission.

We believe the Bible is the Word of God, and seek to be faithful to ALL of its words.
